About Me
Itaca Tours is, in many ways, a reflection of my own journey. I was born in Madrid, Spain, where I spent most of my life and where, back in 2014, I took the first steps toward what would eventually become this project. Those early years taught me the value of listening, understanding, and personalizing every trip. It shaped the boutique philosophy that still defines us today.
Before dedicating myself fully to the travel industry, I spent more than 15 years working in the financial sector. That experience gave me a strong foundation in management, analysis, and a deeply customer‑oriented mindset, skills that now guide the way I lead the company and support each traveler.
In 2022, my path took a significant turn when I moved to New York, a transition that aligned with the international expansion of Itaca Tours into the United States. Living and working in such a dynamic market strengthened my adaptability, broadened my perspective, and helped us consolidate a global network of trusted partners. It was a period of personal and professional growth that propelled the company into a new stage.
By the end of 2025, my journey led me to London, where I currently live and from where I oversee Itaca Tours as a global agency with European roots and an international spirit. This new chapter represents the maturity of the project: a digital, flexible, and global model that still preserves the family essence and personal touch that have been with us since the beginning.
Although I lead the company, I continue to work directly as a Travel Advisor, maintaining close, personal contact with our travelers. For me, that human connection is essential. It allows me to truly listen, understand what each person is looking for, and design experiences with coherence, intention, and soul.
Itaca Tours was born from that combination: professional rigor, a traveler’s sensitivity, and an unwavering commitment to honest, personalized, and deeply human service. And every day, I continue building this project with the same enthusiasm that inspired it back in 2014.

The Interview: A Closer Look
A: Honestly, I’d be lying if I said anything other than Spain. It’s my home, the place where I was born and where my love for travel began. I’m deeply attached to its climate, its food, and the incredible variety you find from one region to another. Spain has a way of offering endless experiences within a single country, and no matter how far I travel, it’s the destination that always feels like coming back to something essential.
A: My first steps in the travel world began in Madrid, working in my own local agency organizing group and corporate events focused on leisure and nightlife experiences. Later on, I continued my journey in Hoboken, New Jersey, where I created and led my own free walking tours.
A: Without a doubt, Indonesia. I had the opportunity to spend a full month there, and it left a deep mark on me. Its natural beauty is extraordinary, but what truly stayed with me was the warmth and kindness of its people. There’s a genuine friendliness and openness that makes you feel welcome everywhere you go.
A: The world is far too big and beautiful to choose just one place, and my travel dreams evolve as I discover new cultures and stories. Right now, Egypt, Japan, Tanzania, Vietnam, and China resonate strongly with me.
A: I’m inspired by the idea that travel can genuinely transform the way we see ourselves and the world. Every itinerary is an opportunity to create something meaningful: a moment of discovery, a connection, a memory that stays with someone long after they return home. That responsibility, and the privilege of guiding people through those experiences, is what motivates me every day.
A: I’m a traveler who values authenticity above all. I love exploring local culture, connecting with people, and discovering the stories behind a place. I enjoy slow travel, taking the time to understand a destination rather than rushing through it. For me, the best journeys are the ones that feel lived, not just visited.
A: It’s difficult to choose just one, because different moments have marked me in different ways.
One of them is walking the “Camino de Santiago” (St. James Way) in Spain from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela with my wife and our lovely dog, Bella. It was a journey of connection, where every step felt meaningful.
Another unforgettable memory is a road trip along the West Coast of the United States with my travel buddies. We drove more than 8,000 miles in our Jeep, discovering breathtaking landscapes, national parks, and the kind of freedom that only the open road can give you. Those weeks remain some of the most vivid and joyful moments of my life.
A: Curiosity — Connection — Perspective
